Report #16—October 18, 2019

Photo: Those of the Dalraida Mission Team Ukraine 2019 who left Saturday, stand by a city sign in from of Kyiv’s administration building!

Our train arrived late in Kyiv and that put us behind. BUT FAST WALKING got us to most of our appointments on time. (Shout out to MAGGIE for keeping up with me–her circles went crazy!!) We enjoyed some wonderful Ukrainian food at a cafeteria style restaurant where you go down the line and select the various dishes you like. This café has just about any Ukrainian food dish. Unfortunately, we were late and some of the food was already gone. After we ate it was another sprint-walk for the group to look at souvenirs and the back to the rooms to collapse for the night. Someone kept asking “How much father?” and the appropriate reply in Ukraine is “piat minut” (5 minutes). It took quite a few of these “piat minut” for us to arrive!

Early in the morning we met for breakfast at another Ukrainian food restaurant and all enjoyed the meal and then off again to load up and travel to the airport for their departing flight.

The bags were wrapped, check-ins were made (Chip did not get a window seat!), and then through security and the last one I saw was Nick Revels as he made sure all Americans had navigated through the exit!

They should have arrived in Montgomery as I write this report and hopefully all bags arrived with them!

A great team and a fantastic trip.

Gif, Simba and I are left to tie up the loose ends and then we will follow the same exit path the seven did on Saturday!

Wrapping Bags
Getting passports, boarding passes and all else together to clear security. BTW…all loved “Viking Nick”!
Elizabeth does not want to leave!
They are through the first exit check!

Pray for our on-going efforts!
