JOHN IS CURRENTLY ON HIS SPRING TRIP TO UKRAINE. PLEASE KEEP HIM IN YOUR PRAYERS.

Report #16–April 12, 2018

The above photo is from a distribution of clothing from a container shipped into Tsalendjikha, The Republic of Georgia.

Let me take time from reporting on the events and adventures of my Ukraine trip to bring to your attention reports from two different locations—the Republic of Georgia and Nigeria.

These were loaded toward the end of 2017. They have arrived and distribution has been on-going for several weeks. I have received distribution reports and have posted them on this site for your reading.

This week I have received additional updates and photos and want to share them with you. These reports show the international scope of our efforts and aptly illustrates the grand old hymn, “The Gospel is for all.”

Feedback from Tsalendjikha, Republic of Georgia…

In 2017 we shipped three containers into various locations in the Republic of Georgia. Our efforts have been received with the greatest appreciation and the invitations to come into the Republic of Georgia have been many.

Here are photos from one of the containers shipped in 2017…to disabled persons, women with children, and IDPs in Tsalendjikha, Georgia.

“Mr. John, We do already have a lot of photos. We managed to make a large-scaled action of distribution to many families and invalids. My friends Nato and Natia helped. I want to share some photos with you too. Regarding Edisher Bagaturia, he is very successful young men who works in municipality. He is Mayor’s Advisor. They are interested in Medical Devices and consumables. They asked for your contact information to me and I gave it. Mr. John. I am still interested in cooperation to help more people. Do you still have burden? Can you help us? Kind Regards, Lela

Feedback from Uruk Otong, Nigeria…

Dear Brethren,

Please permit me to bother you with our regular news as events unfold in our ministry.

Something remarkable happened this morning and I cannot wait to share this great news with you and all others who truly love us in the faith.

THE FUNERAL OF URUK OTONG TRADITIONAL RULER

Yesterday, we laid to rest the remains of our family head, the Deputy Village Head and the traditional ruler of Uruk Otong, Late Chief Thompson Udotong who was also our closest neighbor.

A POOR CRIPPLE DAMSEL

One of the kindred of the late chief named Aniefiok ThankGod Mfon, a beautiful young orphaned damsel who has been a cripple from birth attended the funeral. She can only crawl using her hands and knees. Her condition reminded us of the crippled man at the gate of the temple.

THE GIFT OF A WHEELCHAIR

This morning, we presented to her a wheelchair donated by the container sent by our Searcy brethren. The presentation was witnessed by some of our kinsmen. The beneficiary and everyone present were overjoyed and appreciative of this special gift from the Lord’s church. They requested that we communicated their appreciation to the US brethren who donated the wheelchair.

OUR WORSHIP SERVICE TODAY

Our worship service at the campus church today was uplifting and inspiring. We had a guest preacher, brother Atauyo Abraham who delivered a wonderful sermon titled “Draw near to God” drawn from James 4:8. I taught the youths class.

We have invited a medical team of eye doctors to attend to people with eye problems and to help us dispense the eyeglasses donated in the container sent by the Searcy brethren.

RAPID GROWTH OF THE CAMPUS CHURCH

Our campus church has witnessed a rapid growth since the beginning of this year. Our average attendance at worship services has increased from 50 to over 100 worshipers. We have had 16 baptisms this year already. It’s really amazing!

Thank you for your continued prayers and support. We will appreciate words of encouragement from each of you at your convenience.

In Christian service, Aniefiok & Queen Akpan

His Will Prevails!

Our efforts on this mission trip are down to “hours.” I will leave to return to Montgomery, AL on Saturday. Continue praying for our efforts and the opening of doors by which the gospel can be preached!
