When Children are “crushed”

Job 22:9 states a troubling reality: “the strength of orphans has been crushed.”

The Russian invasion has been heartbreaking in many ways, but perhaps the most heartbreaking is the “crushing” of the children. The Hebrew term translated as “crushed” in Job 22:9 communicates that the children are “beaten to pieces, broken in pieces, bruised, crushed, destroyed, oppressed, and smitten.”

These terms describe what the children in Ukraine are suffering.

As reported in recent reports, our efforts have intensified to move the children of war out of the hot zones and into safer regions. This report tells you about our efforts. We have multiple locations for the children, but we just need to get them moved there. We are also continuing to have relief items distributed by the military in frontline areas.

Sergii sends news

Hello John, today I and my friends, volunteers, brought some humanitarian help to the “House of mother and child” in Goroholyno, Ivano-Frankyvsk Region. This is where many of the war orphans have been relocated and live their daily lives. The children are loved and the supplies you send are very much needed. They come with nothing.

We organized new visits to the front this week, I’ll send you the new photos and reports as soon as we return back. Take care!

We take some clothes, shoes, toys, and buckets all along the front to those staying there. Thanks for your support.

This winter will be very difficult for every Ukrainian; we would be grateful for any help and support. May God bless you, and see you soon.

Here is the list of items Ukrainian defenders are constantly requesting to help those living in the danger lines: generators, power banks, portable power stations, flashlights; vehicle repair tools and tires (sizes R16, R17); canned goods (meat, vegetables, fruit), dried fruit (dried apricots, raisins, etc.), tea, and coffee that can be purchased in Ukraine’s west regions for immediate use; medical backpacks, tourniquets, bandages, hemostatic agents, medical consumables (bandages, syringes, IV sets, etc.), antiviral medications (like Antiflu, Coldrex), vitamins, paracetamol, and ibuprofen; underpads, diapers (various sizes), hygiene products, dishwashing supplies, and disinfectants/cleaning agents for premises; anti-drone nets (fishing nets are also suitable); T-shirts, shorts, and adaptive clothing for the wounded.

I also need to mention the request: anesthesia machine electrocautery unit irrigator-suction unit. This is all for the front hospitals. Also, the wet wipes are needed!!! This is all for nowadays. —Sergii
