Trip report #16— Gratitude

Featured Photo: Tymkiv Serhiy Stefanovych presents me with a plaque expressing “Gratitude” to the Churches of Christ for their assistance in any of the war-torn hot spots in Ukraine.

NOTE: The photos shown in this report (and all other communications) are NOT to be forwarded or published in any way! The photos can be mined for location coordinates for military strikes. The environment and censorship requirements mandate that I make this point.

My days in Ivano-Frankivsk are coming to an end, and Gif is returning. Every evening and morning I look out and see flocks of Swallows darting, circling, and diving as they catch mosquitoes in mid-air. It is an awesome show to watch!

The post today focuses on the Consignee that we have found to be honest, dependable, and focused with us in our goals. Sergii had a plaque from the founder of the NGO “Wise Decisions.” He had one for me and one for Gif. Gif’s plaque will be presented in the next few days when he returns to Ivano-Frankivsk.

The plaque reads:

GRATITUDE

To The Church of Christ in Ivano-Frankivsk and to John Kachelman

Thank you very much for the support shown to Ukraine, the openness to communicate, and the sensitivity to the needs of the Ukrainian people. Your help is a true manifestation of true humanity, solidarity, and friendship.

Thanks to your support, we are able to provide help to the people desperately needing it.

We sincerely appreciate our cooperation and wish you success, prosperity, and new good deeds. This will be a significant contribution to the support of volunteer activities, from sincere hearts, with trust and help.

It is thanks to you and the Church that we can help every day. Those who defend our future as a nation. Your support is a part of a great victory.

With respect and gratitude, The volunteer Ivan Bilanyuk

Again, I ask you to remember my trip in prayer with the Apostle’s request in Ephesians 6:19, “(O)n my behalf, that utterance may be given unto me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel.”
