Vitaly
“There’s good news. The man in the military uniform you can see in one of the pictures is Vitaly. He was baptized 5 years ago but after that fell away from the church. And now that the war broke out, he says, he’s remembered God. He started reading the Bible, praying and thanking church for prayers. John Kachelman baptized him and gave him a Bible, which he signed. Vitaly reads his Bible every day now. Yesterday he sent me a message saying that he loves America and is thankful to God for you. He sends his greetings to all of you. We rejoice to see our brother coming back to our spiritual family. We try to help Vitaly and his unit. We will take some Bibles there tomorrow after worship. He himself asked us for Bibles. Thanks to God!”

We continue receiving a steady stream of letters expressing gratitude for the efforts of Churches of Christ throughout the nation of Ukraine. Here is the translation of one of these and in the slideshow below you find two more.

Vereshytsia Regional Development Agency 81052 Ukraine, Lviv Region, Yavoriv District, Vereshytsia, 4A Shevchenko Str. #25/07 July 25, 2022

Dear John Kachelman, Citizen of the USA and to the Churches of Christ

The Vereshytsia Regional Development Agency as well as the whole community of Vereshytsia, a village in the Yavoriv District, Lviv Region, are filled with gratitude to you for the humanitarian aid given to the community at this trying time Ukraine is facing.

Good deeds never go unnoticed. They are like sea-lights shining on those needing help. As you provide humanitarian aid, you give basic things that people need to survive as well as hope and joy. You set the example of an active support that Ukraine’s foreign partners provide to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of this free country.

May your kindness be rewarded hundredfold. Wishing you all the best, good health, prosperity and cordiality on your life’s path. Sincerely Yours,

Director of GO “VRDA” O. Bosakovsky

The Church in Ivano-Frankivsk

Greetings to you, our dear brothers and sisters in Christ. We thank our Savior who has given us another month to live. We have prayed to God for peace in our hearts and our country. Big thanks to you for your prayers and support you have provided to us.
Despite everything that is going on around us we continue with our Christian lives helping people, encouraging them in every way and preaching to them about the security and salvation in Jesus Christ. We help people with basic things they need to survive in this war.

There are many displaced and the city is overloaded with people. They are coming from the East and Center of Ukraine. They all strive to hide as far from the war as possible. We try to invite people to church and stay in touch with those who are open to the Gospel.

We assemble in the new church building. Our Sunday worship services take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; Wednesday Bible Class is from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. On Friday we have a prayer session from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. We continue supporting the church in Zelena and go there twice a month to worship and study the Bible with them.

We have prepared children’s classroom this week and have put in the desks for children that John Kachelman sent us. Now we have a new auditorium for adults and a children’s classroom.
There’s good news.

Thanks to God! At times, our Lord converts us through great stresses and problems.
Thank you for prayers. We are in a desperate need of your support and encouragement.
We love you.

WONDERFUL REPORT FROM VOVA PAZIY IN IVANO-FRANKIVSK!

“LANTERN” School in Ivano-Frankivsk. Oksana and I began to develop a Bible and English school. The group is not big but stable. Twice a week we are working with children living in this area. There are difficulties associated when air raid sirens blast and we can’t have classes because we must go to safe place. Now it is reality for Ukraine. We use an office in the city center for this and we send thanks for helping us pay some money for the rent. Scott Dutton with his congregation covered these expenses.

The work with refugees continues. Thanks for the help from our American brothers, we have the opportunity to take care of the refugees by giving them Family Buckets and food and of course, talking about the help that came from God through the hands of the Church. Many of the ladies from other regions are now here and it is not safe to stay for living in their homes, some of them arrive even not having elementary things. The Family Buckets have all that you need for living out of home. Great idea to made family sets, thanks for that container what we received for local congregation, and for work like that.
New acquaintance. I had opportunity to know our brothers from Romania, Adi Voicu and Vintila Dragoc, who work a lot of with our refugees in Romania, their Church for now has already help thousands of Ukrainians in Romania. Also, they brought a lot of help to Ukraine. I am sure that we will see each other and will work on glory our God.

In our work with refugees we make many presentations in distributing benevolent help. Some do not like that we make pictures, and I understand them, but they always grateful and understand that God love them despite the war…

And for some personal Information…Ivano-Frankivsk is a new place for us and opens new opportunities. The local church is very friendly and lets me teach and preach. I have classes 5 times during the week plus preaching. Also, we now working on the project school like online and full time. All in the process please pray about. Thanks for all that you do for us. Your Love in action big example for us.

Refugees, we did many presentations like this, people not always would like that we made a pictures, and I understand them, but they always grateful and understand that God love them despite the war…

Just wanted to let you know that project 195/UKR6222 has successfully been delivered. The recipients called and were so excited. They called me to say how thankful they are for this cargo. They told me that the beds are going to an oncology center and other items are being planned to be distributed at field hospitals closest to the front lines. Attached are some pictures they took during the unloading.
Please stay tuned for more distribution information.

Thank you for your continuing partnership in so many different ways! TOGETHER we are seeing amazing developments for the Lord and His Church as doors of opportunities continue to open to us. As the Apostle Paul said, “great and effectual doors are being opened.”
