Though we did not visit the school in Zelena yesterday, we were able to have lunch with Bogdon, Ivan, and their families. Not long afterward, we were visited by Galena’s brother, who is not a member of the church. We started with a brief conversation on politics, but it then shifted to spiritual matters. He had several questions about various denominations and I did my best to answer them in detail. We discussed the concept of spiritual error and how these mistakes crop up. We also discussed several heresies as well as why people are prone to create such false teachings.
Later that night, Christina and I returned to the lodge and put together another Bible lesson for an online class. With the snow and difficult route to the lodge, we felt this would give us an opportunity to reach out to the community, even if in a limited way. Christina did an excellent job of translating despite very little time to prepare. The topic was “Which church is the church of the Bible?” and can be viewed below:
