Trip Report # 7—”The Generous Soul Begets Generosity”

There is an absolute truth regarding benevolence: “the man who is a blessing to others will be greatly blessed by God” (Proverbs 11:25; 19:17).

But carefully note that the commendation of God is for those who actively serve others and is NOT for those who expect to be served! This is a critical fact that is ignored by the “ME generations.”

This is illustrated many times in Scripture and in our practical lives. The shipments and distribution of critically needed medical supplies illustrate this truth.

Here is a report on the partial distribution of a container that was shipped to Gif in Ivano-Frankivsk.

“Good evening, John. We continue to provide humanitarian aid in response to requests from our military who are concerned about those living near the frontline and who have been wounded by Russia’s evil invasion.

Over the past week, our trips have delivered many needed supplies—specifically the medical items, braces, buckets, and medical consumables you provided in the last container. As you know very well, we went to seven different sectors of the front line to assist the wounded. We are sincerely grateful for this assistance and support. We are thankful for the prayers of many Americans who help you in this great effort. Sergii”

Following a day of early rising, long road travel, and inspection stops that greeted us with smiles and appreciation, we are weary! More distribution after-action reporting and photos are coming!

We are so thankful for so many whose “generosity” in contributing funds, working to prepare the shipments, and loading the containers, our efforts leads to the assurance stated in Proverbs 11:25; 19:17.

A special THANK YOU to C.U.R.E. (WestArk Church of Christ, Ft. Smith, AR) for the orthopedic supplies that you see in the photos.

The impact that is being made by the Lord’s Church as these shipments are distributed cannot be overstated. Following the war, there will come the “watering floods” that Proverbs 11:25 promises to those who have sent these items. Those involved in our efforts will have countless doors open to continue showing the Lord’s compassion!

“Through your prayers” (Phlm 22), this trip will see multiple successes as “doors of opportunity” open (Colossians 4:3)!

Thank you for your constant prayers!
