Update – 5/29/22

The Church of Christ, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine May 29, 2022. The second Sunday assembly in the new building saw 61 in attendance!

We continue receiving the most encouraging reports for our updates. Sunday in Ukraine was full of encouraging activities. Here are a few of the reports for you to read and find joy!

Worship in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine

This was the second Sunday that the congregation assembled in the new building. The auditorium is not finished yet but the brethren are meeting in the entry foyer.

Ivan Skoleba made these comments:

Greetings dear brother and sisters! Today was a wonderful day to assemble and praise God. We had a minimum of 61 present in the assembly. Among that number were a number of visitors. We also had brothers and sisters assembling with us from as far away as Mariupol and Kramatorsk. These have been displaced by Russia’s war on Ukraine.

We assembled together and almost every chair was taken. We even had people standing in the back and along the walls. I am sending a photo of those who were able to stay afterwards for a group meeting. We still have much work to do to make the building in full operations. We will complete the first floor and then work on the second. We are telling brothers that completion of the second floor is all upon the Church here so they will know they have a part in this work.

Our next container is to arrive tomorrow.

Today we met with a father and daughter who evacuated Kramatorsk. They told us of a family they personally know who were given permission by Russia to leave but as they passed the checkpoint the Russians fired on their car and all were killed—even a tiny baby. This is the evil that we are fighting here.

Please continue to remember Ukraine in your prayers and especially the Church here in Ivano-Frankivsk so we can assist.

Family Buckets Arriving

We are receiving more and more photos of the Family Buckets that are arriving. These have been packed in a number of locations. Those unloading the buckets are amazed at the quantity being received. Most are going into Lviv and there loaded into smaller trucks and taken throughout Ukraine. Here are some photos of the buckets in Ukraine that will soon be on the roads!

Medicines Airlifted and Delivered Free Throughout Ukraine

Over 50 pallets of various meds were sorted, palletized and wrapped in New Jersey last weekend. These will be airlifted into Poland and then delivered to specific destinations FREE by Nova Posta. We sent out a notice to all contacts that these were available but on a first-come-first-serve basis. On Tuesday, these are scheduled to be airlifted. Here is a photo of how these will look with the specific address label on each pallet.

Churches Responding

The Church in Bremen, Germany has sent us very valuable water purifiers that are needed by the Displaced Camps. This is the congregation where Anya is living. We have also received boxes collected by our brothers and sisters in Italy and Poland. The Church is responding from all nations! Here is a photo of the water purifiers sent by the Church of Christ in Bremen, Germany.
