JOHN IS CURRENTLY ON HIS SPRING TRIP TO UKRAINE. PLEASE KEEP HIM IN YOUR PRAYERS.

Report #10 – March 25, 2022

A van has the flags of Ukraine and Poland prominently displayed. There is an overwhelming embracing of the refugees fleeing Russian terror.

Today, I leave Warsaw going to Wroclaw. The time here has been productive in so many different ways. Amazing developments have occurred. Our network has grown exponentially and we are better positioned in every aspect than we have ever been.

This will be a quick note due to pressing issues.

Tragic News

In the occupied regions since the 2014 Russian invasion, there is absolute rule that disregards any personal position regarding politics, religion, freedom, etc. Those living in these areas are subjected to arrogance.

The day before Russia invaded there was a caravan of Russian trucks slowly driving the streets of Donetsk. Any male seen was instantly pulled into the trucks and “drafted” into the Russian army. These were then sent into the vanguard of the attacking units.

Tanya’s brother was thus “drafted” the day before Russia invaded. He was sent into the hottest point of battle. On March 4 he was killed. His wife had no idea where he was. She had been frantically, constantly calling every where and every one but was told only that he had been drafted. Last evening, Tanya received a call from her sister-in-law stating her brother had been killed twenty days ago and the wife needed to come and identify the body.

Please remember her and her family during this time of mourning and grief. Considering all the circumstances surrounding it and his forcible “drafting” it is difficult to bear the pain of the loss.

Buckets Campaign on Kelly Clarkson’s TV Show

I was sent the following YouTube link from the Kelly Clarkson Show. It discusses the bucket challenge in the Nashville, TN area and specifically highlights the Hillsboro Church of Christ. It is so great that our brethren have received such great recognition…and a donation from Kelly Clarkson for $10,000 to go towards buckets.

GREAT NEWS

Our first container should arrive in Gdansk Port in two days! We are in communication with all involved and Ivan should be arranging transport from his location.

Pleas for Help

A couple of notes and requests for help that I have received from other places in Ukraine. Wanted to share so that you can remember these people in your daily prayers.

From Odesa:

Dear brother John!

I think that after so many years of joint efforts to liberate Ukraine, I can call you brother! Today our struggle has entered the main active phase. This can be compared to the Normandy landing in 1944. We are making great efforts to educate people in times of war, also to provide humanitarian help to Ukrainians in need. And I am in touch with Tanya every day.

I am kindly asking you to share any information about possible lists for the supply of medicines. Of course – If there are any available from your side. We need it in order to organize and get our logistic programs and routes ready.

Igor (Odessa, Ukraine)

From Sumy:

Dear Charita, John, and Tatiana,

We have already established quick logistics from Oregon, USA to Ukraine. We are extending our request to the U.S. organizations as none of the international, Ukrainian (official, NGO, volunteer), Polish, and German organizations were able to help us (we have already approached above 50 of different organizations).

Please help us to cover at least part of our urgent needs! We do everything possible to facilitate our collaboration! I am ready to discuss details at any time convenient to you.

Pavlo (Sumy, Ukraine)

I am continually amazed at both the sadness this war has brought and the incredible encouragement that our brethren have shown — both here and in the United States. Thanks for your prayers and diligent efforts! Please keep the prayers coming!
