Report #5–March 19, 2022

Resistance to the Russian invasion is obvious. Firearms have been distributed and citizens have vowed to fight the Russians.

This will be a quick note. Today we are spread out in various actions. Tanya is needed to translate for the Swedes. There are two refugee centers to be visited. This afternoon we leave Lublin for Warsaw where several significant meetings are planned. Jerry Morgan has arrived back in the USA but at last report he was stuck in Atlanta’s airport.

Medications in Louisville, KY

John,

below conversation about medications that are in Kentucky. 250 pallets will be ready for pick up, we have figured that we should be able to find trucks by the 30th. Can we arrange to pick it up on March 30 to be moved to our warehouse?  Hopefully, by then we will have free air to ship to Ukraine.

Here are two urgent needs associated with this and someone is the key!

First, We need any contacts with UPS who might be able to secure additional storage time in Louisville. From what I understand right now, these pallets are at the UPS facility in Louisville.

Second, We need any contacts who might be able to secure UPS offering either ALL or part air transport of these medicals into either Romania or Poland. Once they arrive in these destinations we can get them into Ukraine.

Third, IF the above options fail to materialize, we need the Blue Grass & Hoosier States to be ready to help either move these pallets to another storage facility or prep them for air cargo delivery. If air cargo delivery fails, or if it is insufficient to move the 250 pallets, then we will load these into cargo containers and will need help!

Activity in Montgomery

Yesterday was a great workday in Montgomery, AL as my home congregation prepared for their bucket packing party on Sunday afternoon! It is so great to see so many come out and work together. Check out the pics below. We hope to put together more than 240 buckets on Sunday and add them to the hundreds that have been turned in to us at our warehouse in Montgomery in preparation for our end-of-month loading.

We also had 116 buckets that were delivered in Montgomery by John Bidwell and the Meridian Woods church of Christ (Tallahassee, FL)!
