Report #17–October 11, 2021 (Ivan from Zelena)

Yesterday we arrived in Zelena, it was already getting dark, it was around 8 pm. This was so late because we had to stay in Ivano-Frankovsk awaiting Caleb’s luggage. The luggage was delayed in Amsterdam. In the village we were met by Bogdan and Galina, we had dinner and went to the forest lodge, which is two kilometers away. The lodge is in the depths of an autumn forest among beautiful mountains, and it is built entirely of wood. It was built by a wealthy man from Odessa who agreed to provide us with rooms. We started early in the morning and after breakfast we had time to socialize and meet and greet different people in the village. Before we left the lodge, we prayed for the upcoming meetings with schoolchildren and teachers.

We met with the School Director named Ivan Ivanovich. He asked that we would not talk about religion at school because he could be fired. We understand his concerns. In anticipating this request, we invited people and children to personal meetings in the evenings.

Caleb’s work began well. He had a good first meeting with the children at school, the children were very happy to take part in the communication. The first day was more familiarization and letting children and village get to see and hear Caleb. This is a very big beginning because we need to let people know there is nothing to fear from this outsider. I hope tomorrow there will be more activity and more people willing to communicate. Tonight, there was a meeting in the house of Taras and Galina with their family. I was not able to be present so I hope the meeting went well.

Sveta and I left for home at 7.30 pm because tomorrow we have a lot of work in the Church in Ivano-Frankovsk. Bogdan and Galya will take care of Caleb and Christina. We are constantly in touch with them.

Please pray brothers and sisters that the Lord would make this mission successful and help find those souls who are open to the Gospel.

Also, I want to give you a report on construction. Today, the brothers brought materials for the construction of the outside boiler room for the Church in Ivano-Frankovsk. We are doing everything to move to the new premises as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for your prayers and support, kind and loving hearts of God. Love you! Ivan and Svetlana.
