Beginning Spring 2021 Trip
It was one-year ago that my bags were packed, my airline ticket booked and I was ready to make that arduous trip in a cramped cabin to visit various locations in Ukraine. On the way I received an urgent message from Tanya saying “Borders are closed.” All mission trips for 2020 fell victim to COVID-19. I still have an airline ticket “somewhere” in Delta’s system and “hopefully” I will get to use it (this is the message I received).
Today I am departing from Montgomery, AL and will arrive in Ukraine later tomorrow night. The thoughts of the travel ordeal are overshadowed by the anticipated joy in meeting with beloved brethren in Ukraine. On this trip the schedule calls for me to visit these locations and visit a number of sites in each one: Ivano-Frankivsk, Kherson, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, and Odesa. I will be teaching classes on Church Growth and the Book of Colossians in Ivano-Frankivsk.
