Report #9—April 7, 2019

The Lord’s Day, April 7, was a beautiful springtime day in western Ukraine. The recent cold seems to have disappeared and the bright sunshine warned up the day. There are still 10-15 members and regular visitors who were unable to assemble today because of illness. In spite of the relevant illness there were 38 adults and 5 children in today’s assembly. Hopefully those who are ill will recover and be able to join us in the evenings as we continue our study on the Epistle to the Philippians.

In today’s assembly Ivan announced that the landlord has increased the rent by 20%. In his announcement Ivan said when the increase was given it was stated that this is what the Church will have to pay and if they do not want to pay it then they can look for another meeting location that will accommodate their number but he has a list of people who want to do business in those 2 rooms. If you factor in those who are usually in the assembly and were out ill you can add 10-15 more adults and 5-7 more children.

In his announcement today Ivan gave a brief history of the Church in Ivano-Frankivsk. According to records that he has there have been 78 immersed since the congregation was established.

Tomorrow begins another week “in the trenches” as we deal with the corruption issue. Hopefully we will hear some progress.

Please continue praying for our on-going efforts!
