JOHN IS CURRENTLY ON HIS SPRING TRIP TO UKRAINE. PLEASE KEEP HIM IN YOUR PRAYERS.

Report #31 — Oct. 14, 2018 (Dalraida Team)

All the Dalraida group (sans John Jr.) made it home safely finally last night with no further bird incidents. We are so thankful for all the support for our trip — both financially and spiritually in prayers.  Please continue to remember John Jr. As he is still in Ukraine until next Saturday.

As a parting look back at the trip, Doug Schofield penned some thoughts as we traveled back across the globe yesterday…

Reflections from Doug Schofield:

As those of us in the second group make our way toward home, our thoughts are there already. Thinking about our loved ones, and the schedule for the days ahead. But we are also mindful of the recent days in Ivano-Frankvisk, Lysetts, Starry (old) Lysets, Synatin, Ugorniky, Mala-Kamala and Yaremche. — and all of those wonderful people we met.

There were of course the brothers and sisters from the church, our amazing translators, the leaders of the towns and villages who are working so hard for the betterment of their communities, and the people of those communities, especially those who are seeking the truth of God’s Word.

There are also the children, students in the schools we visited who have such a strong national pride, and those sweet children in the special needs facilities we met, and finally those precious little ones in the orphanages whose only hope for the future is in the hands of those dedicated men and women who care for them every day. They will all be in our thoughts and prayers in the days, weeks and months ahead.

We are so appreciative for everyone who helped make this trip possible, and for each individual who participated. As a group of Christians we already had the bond of brotherhood in the Lord, but having shared this experience together we are even closer now than before.

We’ll be home in about another 15 hours, God willing, (and no more bird strikes). I am thankful for this extra time we have had to reflect on the experiences of the past several days, and to put it into perspective. Even as we pass time in airport waiting areas, we are receiving email and text messages telling us about good things that are already resulting form some of our efforts.

Thank you, everyone who helped make this possible!
