We have finally reached Ivano-Frankivsk. So, from now on all reports will come with the footer of Ivano-Frankivsk except for when I will make some stops in southwestern Poland on the way to Warsaw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We left Warsaw early this morning and have been on the road for 10+ hours. A friend has assigned us a car and driver for the trip. The driver\u2019s name is Valery. He has been involved in driving these errands ever since Russia\u2019s invasion. The services are donated as a favor. When he knew I was coming he assured me that there would be no problem with safety and security. This time he chuckled saying, \u201cThe car this time looks nice but even a tank cannot stop it and plus it has some surprises that you will find maybe interesting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

Sitting in the back seat the long trip and lingering jet-lag conquered me. The stuffed doggie you see has been Valery\u2019s traveling companion ever since he evacuated a group of children from the east and one of the children left “doggie” in the vehicle he was driving and was not discovered until the next morning. Valery says \u201cdoggie\u201d has been his companion on 2,000+ kilometers! Last October I had \u201cdoggie\u201d accompanying me on my visits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perry and I have settled into the hotel!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beginning in the morning the work finally begins\u2026I have a long list of to-do actions that must be completed. We plan to meet with Ivan at lunch and make specific plans for the next few days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We left Warsaw @ 9am and spent about an hour at the border. All went well and arrived in Ivano-Frankivsk at 8pm.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
