This mission trip is in its final days. Today will be my last full day of activity. Gif and Nate are also winding up actions in their location. This will probably be the last report until I send out the one that we all arrived back!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My time in Kyiv has been spent in activities that focused on our shipping and the obstacles that we have endured. I have had on-going, non-stop meetings and conversations since arriving. Today I received a telephone call today that the container that had been stalled for four months had been approved and its release for distribution was signed by the Vice-Minister himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gif sent this news: <\/strong>Here\u2019s an update from Nate about the last couple of days here for a report if you like. We\u2019ve had to be pretty flexible about a lot of things because of the craziness of COVID, but it\u2019s all worked out well! Also, we\u2019ve discovered that Nate is great with kids if you want to advertise him as a baby-sitting service.  He spent maybe an hour playing with Timothy while Maria, Anya and I talked, which seems to have made an impact because if I understood Anya correctly Maria joined Nate\u2019s class online tonight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Nate: <\/strong>The last two days have been full of re-scheduling, improvisation and a lot of smiling.  On Tuesday we were able to check up on a hospital in the beautiful mountains where Yaremche is located, ensuring that the equipment we have provided is working properly. They expressed their gratitude toward us and the Church that meets here in Ivano-Frankivsk, and filled us in on how they have been handling the situation with COVID. Later on, we went into the mountains to explore and enjoy some of God\u2019s handiwork. That evening I taught a class with the younger people about the conversion of the Ethiopian Eunuch in Acts 8, and it seemed to be well received. That evening consisted of the usual antics: food and the chocolate factory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today we visited a hospital that is supported by the church here and provided them with a blood pressure monitor. We then went to buy furniture for the hospital, and visited with members of the church here. Afterwards, Gif and I met with the men in the congregation to discuss next year\u2019s budget, as well as a plan for growth in the future. We then had class with the whole congregation, in which Gif spoke, and a class afterwards for young people that I spoke in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s been a beautiful past couple of days here, and I\u2019m excited to see what tomorrow holds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ivan sent this report of the day\u2019s events as well: <\/strong>Today was a good day, Gif, Nate, Sveta and Anya did a good job. Together they visited Natalya Adamovna, a doctor who provides medical care to our members of the Church. Natalya Adamovna very much thanked the Churches of Christ in America and especially in Ivano-Frankivsk for the help provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the financial benevolence that the Lord\u2019s Church has provided we have completed the renovation of the room for the reception of patients and the purchase of new furniture. This is in addition to the constant support that we give them in many ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today we bought desks and a filing cabinet for the hospital. Gif also donated a new blood pressure meter that he brought from Dalraida\u2019s warehouse. The doctors of this hospital say that we want to learn more about this Church, \u201cbecause we have never seen the Church help people in this way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Thank you very much my dear brothers and sisters for your help and prayers. The Lord opens the hearts of people through you and they are open to hearing and accepting the gospel. Please continue to pray that the Lord would help us to grow spiritually and quantitatively. So that our new Church building would be filled with people being saved by God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After our work today, we went to Ruslan\u2019s and Masha\u2019s as they invited us to dinner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone had a good time, Timofey, my grandson, said that Nate is a good person because he knows how to play games with him. Now Timofey has a new friend. Timofey is preparing a present for his American friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
