Kazakhstan is located in central\nAsia. Members of Dalraida Church of Christ have been working for a few months\nto send over requested medical supplies to the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday, those supplies were\nloaded up on a 40 ft. container for delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The container is full of hospital\nbeds, exam tables, wheelchairs and other necessary medical supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey\u2019re probably close to 30,000\npounds on this container,\u201d said John Kachelman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are all going to Aimaty City\nHospital Number 1, in Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt will go from here to Atlanta by rail. It will go over to Savannah, Georgia and get on a ship and it will go to a port in Latvia and then get on a railway going through China and eventually winding up in Kazakhstan,\u201d said Kachelman. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The supplies are expected to make\nit to Kazakhstan in 3 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s well worth it. Especially\nwhen they receive it and the people that are in the hospital are sitting on a\nplywood board \u2013 now they will have a bed to rest on,\u201d said Larry Stowe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members of Dalraida Church of\nChrist say coming together, despite the summer heat, to help those across the\nworld is something they enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had\nquite a bit of experience of going to different parts of the world \u2013 especially\nnorthern Russia and I\u2019m familiar with the conditions that are there. So we have\nmade a deliberate effort to minister to people when we can,\u201d says Bob McKee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve never been there, we\nreally don\u2019t know the people but they have a need, and we have the resources\nand we want to help,\u201d said Kachelman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The supplies shipped out around\n6:30 pm Thursday. Some of the supplies were donated from local groups. While\nothers were shipped all the way from Iowa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the year, members of\nthe Dalraida Church of Christ help over 20 countries with humanitarian aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
