I have arrived in\nUkraine! The trip over was without any unusual twists. I was greeted at the\nBorispol Airport by Tanya and Sergi and then went to the lodging and after enjoying\na wonderful supper crashed into bed. On the drive from the airport we passed\nsome mounds of snow that were finally melting!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The beginning of this\ntrip has been the usual in making contacts and communications with various\npeople. It seems the schedule is set and is filled with expectations of good\nvisits and actions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We continue doing all we\ncan to address the issue that has suspended shipments of benevolent items into\nUkraine. Thankfully I have been placed in contact with a number of individuals\nin the USA and Ukraine that are concerned and seeking resolution. As any\nsignificant developments occurs, I will let you know. I do appreciate all who\nhave, and continue to, contact their Washington, DC delegation. I can\nassure you never discount the impact of your action that is furthering\ngood!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As we drove from the Kherson\nairport Eugenia was excitedly explaining all the activities planned for my\nbrief visit. She said that the items we have shipped here are the best the\nRegion has ever received! (Note to Jerry Morgan and the Neelyville, MO loading\nsite\u2014these were the containers YOU collected, packed and loaded!). Eugenia says\nthey receive shipments from Europe and our commodities are so much superior in\nquality!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kherson received a\nshipment of shoes that were given to several geriatric centers. She said that\npeople travelled from all over the Region to come and get a pair of shoes. One\nlady from a village came and received a pair of shoes. She wears a large size\nthat is impossible to be found here, but there was a size in the load we\nshipped. This lady was so happy that she lavished all distributing with kisses\nand tears. On Thursday we will visit some of these elderly residences and see\nthe results of the distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Encouraging News\u2026Even\nthough we have suspended shipments into Ukraine we have consequently begun\nshipping to several new nations where commodities are being redirected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GHANA\u2026This weekend\nCharita met with two high ranking officials of Ghana who were in New York for a\nUN conference. These have pledged full cooperation in our efforts for Ghana. We\nreceived a request from Ghana and asked brother Emmanuel about this person and\nhe replied, \u201cYes i can confirm the true\nidentity of brother Dr Dan Owusu Asiamah. All\nthat he said in his letter about his work in Ghana are true. He is a very\nunique in his approach to the Lord’s work and helping the needy. I referred him\nto visit your website and see the great work you’re doing for humanity across\ndifferent countries. He is among few Preachers in my country, Ghana, who\ndoes such incredible work. I can count on his good stewardship towards\nresources entrusted to him for a specific task. He is a true example to\nemulate when it comes to the Lord’s work; his \u2018love for God and Country\u2019, the\nlost and the needy in a whole. Please kindly assist him in any way possible in\nhis request, and i know one day you will indeed testify about his\ntrustworthiness.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n AFGHANISTAN\u2026Charita\nreceived a request from Afghanistan. \u201cWould\nyou be able to go to Afghanistan? I have several converts there through\nWorld English Institute (WEI). Most work with NGOs. Katheryn Maddox Haddad\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n JUDSONIA\u2026I received this\nfrom David Lawyer today\u2026\u201cWent to warehouse\nyesterday about 1PM to take clothes from Sharing Shop. There was about 5 cars\nthere and that is very unusual so lots of questions about what was happening. Went\ninside and 3 people were approaching me. It was Sherrill Bennet, the Chief of\nPolice and the Mayor of Judsonia. The new Mayor and new Chief of Police wanted\nto express their appreciation and support of our work. Sherrill just happened\nto b there with Suzanne as well as Rick Harper going through medical supplies. Got\nabout 100 black bags of clothes from Heber Springs yesterday. WOW!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n I can assure you that much\nmore has transpired in communication and action today but no time to relate it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tomorrow\u2019s morning will\ncome early and the day is crammed full!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Pray for our on-going\nefforts!<\/p>\n\n\n\n John L.
