It needed a great amount of repair and after the village repaired the first floor it did not have any money for furnishings. The items we shipped have been a great help. Among those shipped were five of the hospital beds that I and Ivan and Jerry Morgan and Tanya loaded in Grenada, MS.

One item that I found most interesting was in the hospital’s laboratory. As I entered I was introduced to the lab techs who told me they really wanted a digital scale. They pointed to a scale sitting on a cabinet by the wall and said that is what they have to use. I looked at the scale and found it to be amazing. It was very good and we were stuffed. While we were eating two other men came in to meet with us. One was a regional deputy and the other was a mayor of another village that we are to visit tomorrow.

Following the end of the meal we had to rush out because we were to meet Andrew the contractor of the construction of the church building. Andrew had reserved a table at a restaurant and had another meal waiting on us! So we ate again…

We discussed the construction progress as well as how to utilize a group of visiting Americans in October. Andrew offered to make sure all were fitted to the right place and volunteered to see that the schools and orphanages were contacted and scheduled. He also is eager to introduce the unique customs of the mountains to the visitors! It should be most interesting!

Tonight’s classes were again well attended. We had visitors in each and the attention was excellent. The usual periods of discussion followed the ending of each class (sometimes these discussions last almost as long as the class itself. I always find it enjoyable to listen to the comments and see how the lessons were understood.

Bible class Tuesday night Ivano-Frankivsk church of Christ

The day has been long and so this report will be short!
