In a week where Satan\u2019s devilish partners have been pressuring and seeking compromise of God\u2019s Truth, it is wonderful to receive these encouraging reports!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we launched the Family Bucket plea in February, we had a great response. The Lord\u2019s Churches in the Montgomery area, we collected 384 buckets. Other brethren from distant locations wanted to participate but needed more time. We always love sending Family Buckets because they are a prized gift received by those in need (many call these \u201cbuckets of blessings\u201d). So, several congregations are still involved in collecting and stuffing the Family Buckets. This is great as we will have a steady supply going into Ukraine. A plastic bucket, stuffed with practical household items, is used by our God to work great results! This report focuses on the wonderful response and success of this plea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rejoice in the wonderful good that results when brethren are devoted to the Lord God Almighty and follow His will!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 26, 2026, we loaded a container out of the Montgomery, AL warehouse. This held the 384 Family Buckets plus: chairs, clothing, crutches, first responder equipment, household items, medical supplies, hygiene supplies, shoes, hydrating powder, toys, ultrasound, walkers, wheelchairs. The container arrived in Ivano-Frankivsk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHello there! Thought I\u2019d finally start your week with some good news. The container from March arrived at 6 AM this morning! Horrible time to arrive as I don\u2019t usually like to interact with anything but my pillow until at least 10 AM, but Sergiy rounded up 13 volunteers and we unloaded it in less than an hour! He told me that when his wife returns from vacation, they will want to set up a sorting day to go through everything, and then he\u2019s going to try to get everything moved quickly. Searcy, AR begins a bucket collection!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our brother Larry Cox contacted me several weeks ago. The LRI warehouse group is initiating a Family Bucket drive in the Searcy, AR area. They begin with the College Church of Christ and will then expand it to the many nearby congregations. Here is Larry\u2019s email detailing the project\u2019s plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJohn, we are very mindful of Jennifer’s health and prayerful that God will continue to bless her with steady progress toward recovery. BR keeps us up to date as much as possible with her progress, and we continue to pray for her and for your good health as well. May God continue to bless each of you. \u201cI do want to let you know that after much delay and foot-dragging, we are scheduled to begin humanitarian bucket collection here in Searcy at the College Church of Christ on Sunday, June 14. My best guess is that we\u2019ll collect something considerably less than a full container load and will need to fill it out with clothing. We have enough clothing in the warehouse to fill 2 full containers (and then some), so there’ll be no shortage of clothing available. If you see a need for a container of summer or winter-specific clothing, we can get one out quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAfter the initial bucket collection at College Church of Christ, we hope to expand to other congregations, but feel we need to separate the collections with enough time to allow retail inventories time to recover supplies, so we don\u2019t frustrate folks trying to fill out the lists. We assume this expanded, separate collection would require a separate shipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elizabethtown, KY Bucket Collection & Delivery<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

The good Elizabethtown, KY congregation (where I was located for ten memorable years) wanted to participate in the Buckets. Mickey Gattis (elder) called, saying they wanted to participate in the project but could not make the March deadline. I told him that they could go ahead and collect buckets, and we would include them in a shipment later. Ken Bybee (elder) was able to get the buckets and lids donated by his company. The congregation collected items and then had a bucket packing party! The buckets were delivered by E\u2019town Deacon Bret Sholty on Monday (June 1), where Dwight Davis, James, and Patsy Thebo met Bret at the Montgomery warehouse and unloaded the generous gifts from the Elizabethtown brethren! Photos of the packing party and delivery are below!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Closing Exhortation\u2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Even though we rejoice in the wonderful successes as we serve the Lord God Almighty, we must be vigilant. The Devil is on a constant move seeking to devour and destroy God\u2019s children. We are in a war with the Devil. May God make you a mighty warrior! May he \u201ctrain your hands for war and your fingers for battle\u201d (Psalm 144:1).<\/strong> Here are a few analytics of Satan\u2019s attack strategy. These are a few of the points my lessons in Ivano-Frankivsk will discuss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Satan\u2019s partner lies, and is the father of lies <\/strong>(John 8:44). Such ignore the truth. John says that Satan \u201chas nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him\u201d (John 8:44).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Satan\u2019s partner blinds the minds of unbelievers <\/strong>(2 Corinthians 4:4). Such not only speaks what is false. He hides what is true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Satan\u2019s partner masquerades in costumes of light and righteousness <\/strong>(2 Corinthians 11:13\u201315). Such pose as Christians, but they are not. These profess enough truth to be known as church members, but from inside teach what Paul calls \u201cdoctrines of demons\u201d (1 Timothy 4:1). Jesus says these are wolves in sheep\u2019s clothing (Matthew 7:15). Acts 20:30 says they will not spare the flock, but will draw people away to destruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Satan\u2019s partner acts deceitfully.<\/strong>\u00a02 Thessalonians 2:9, they are characterized by loving lies more than God\u2019s Truth! They manipulate lies so that lies appear as truth and deceive many. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Satan\u2019s partner tempts people to sin<\/strong> (2 Corinthians 11:3). <\/strong>Such appeals to emotional attachments. \u201cI am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Satan\u2019s partner plucks the word of God out of people\u2019s hearts and chokes faith<\/strong> (Mark 4:1-9). Satan uses his partners to snatch the truth of God from sincere believers because he hates faith, which the word produces. Inspiration wrote, \u201cI\u2026fear that somehow the tempter had tempted you and our labor would be in vain\u201d (1 Thessalonians 3:5).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Satan\u2019s partner fights against the plans of missionaries.<\/strong> Those opposed to God\u2019s Truth and biblical patterns allow selfishness and greed to control their lives. Because of selfishness, these hinder God\u2019s Church (1 Thessalonians 2:17-18).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Satan accuses Christians before God<\/strong> (Revelation 12:10).<\/strong> The Devil\u2019s partners accuse others to make themselves look godly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
