“Write in a book what you see, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea” (Revelation 1:11).

This series is a study of the letters to the seven churches in the Book of Revelation. The First century believers in Asia Minor were targets of Satan's evil schemes, and these seven churches appear to be specific targets. These churches experienced evil trials. Satan used these trials, hoping to encourage compromise of true doctrine and persuade Christians to give up their confidence in the Lord and turn back to the world. These brethren were struggling to maintain dedicated devotion to the Lord.

In this remarkable portion of Scripture, the Lord speaks to each of these local congregations. Even today, the messages are very instructive to congregations. The Lord considered their strengths and weaknesses and gives direct instructions for change and improvement. These seven letters provide insight into the will of Christ for His church today.
